John Naisbett who wrote the best seller MegaTrends 2000 said this: ‘the more high tech we are, the more high touch we crave’. Never have truer words been spoken! The problem with the internet is that it is often very impersonal.
We should not lose sight of the fact that the phone (or Skype voice) and face to face, is still the best way to do business. Why? Stronger relationships get built that way.
The harsh reality for some internet marketing disciples is that the vast majority of business (including network marketing business) is still conducted in the same old way. So you can listen all day long to the Mike Dillards and Ann Siegs of this world, yet you cannot escape this undeniable reality.
So what is the way forward? Simple. Open relationships via the internet. Then build on the foundation with personal text messages and emails. Then layer that with some voice dialogue. And if the contact lives within driving distance of you, reach out and have a good old face to face exchange.
What a pleasant way to do business. And the variety of methods described will get you away from the computer for a change! Can’t be bad.
What experiecnes have you had recently with good old fashioned networking and relationship building? Share your comments!
